Financial Market Strategies is an independent advisory and consultancy company specialising in treasury, foreign exchange and money market services to the corporate, financial and government sectors.
Although the company is UK-based, we operate on a global basis, with eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa among our most important regions.

Training:
We are also known as a first-class provider of treasury and capital market related training services, including both classroom and online tuition either on a general or an examination-specific basis. Our training capability can also be offered on an 'in-house' basis (i.e. where we come to you).
We have a distinguished reputation for delivering tuition for the Financial Markets Association examinations ("ACI Dealing Certificate" and "ACI Diploma").
All training courses are offered with a 24-hour telephone helpline facility, to enable delegates to contact their tutor at any time for help in answering any questions that may arise during their subsequent revision.
All examination-based course fees include a full 'mock' practice examination, with detailed follow-up consultancy, and further help in areas where delegates have experienced difficulty.
Professional Services:
Our Managing Director, Wayne Andrews, is able to offer his professional expertise as an expert witness in financial or market related court cases.
He is also a frequent speaker and contributor to conferences, seminars and workshops on a variety of treasury and money market related topics, particularly hedging and market risk management.
Financial Market Strategies became a fully incorporated entity in 2004.
Wayne Andrews
Managing Director
Wayne Andrews is a vastly experienced treasury, foreign exchange and money market professional, having spent over 27 years in a variety of different market roles.
After leaving university in 1977, he spent 15 years in the City of London, before taking up his first appointment in the Middle East, as Head of Foreign Exchange at Saudi British Bank, Riyadh, a subsidiary of HSBC Holdings.
After a further period in London as Head of Global Dealing for Barclays Private Bank, he began his advisory and consultancy career in 1998, focusing initially on providing training services, later to expand to include the broader strategic, risk management and advisory services that Financial Market Strategies now provides.
In 2001 he took up a two-year contract to lead the development of corporate treasury sales and advisory services for Saudi Hollandi Bank, Riyadh, a subsidiary of ABN Amro.
He also completed a further six-month project in Saudi Arabia in mid-2004, advising Al Rajhi Bank, Riyadh (the largest purely Islamic bank in the Middle East) on the strategic development of their corporate treasury services.
In 2005, he undertook a major consultancy project advising the Dubai government on setting up a treasury division within their Department of Finance. This included elements of staff training, systems implementation, cash management, risk management and reporting procedures.
He has worked as a visiting lecturer at the Institute of Banking (IoB) at the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency in Riyadh, and at the Emirates Institute of Banking and Financial Studies (EIBFS) at Sharjah, UAE.
He lives in the UK with his wife and two children. He is a keen student of economic and market history. He is also a qualified junior rugby coach.
